Sometimes one of the hats that a MW needs to wear is that of a document pre-publisher. 

• Knowledge of how documents get published and understanding the intricacies of how they finally get formatted and submitted is helpful for MWs.  

• This next level knowledge can make you a helpful contributor to your team in times of need like for submissions. 

• Part of knowing your audience is knowing the ways that they will be interacting with your work. 

• Depending on the volume of work that you or your organization does in this functional space, certain software beyond a basic PDF maker may be a worthwhile investment. 

• There are more sophisticated PDF rendering software as well as robust platform-based eCTD tools that can make the set up and execution of document (and submission) publishing easier and compliant.
