Regulatory medical writing is a volume business. A drug development program has dozens and possibly hundreds of documents that are required to be generated.
Some projects/tasks/jobs require a very focused writing effort and ancillary support comes from other functions (this siloing is common in larger Pharma and large CROs). Other projects/tasks/jobs (particularly as a freelancer/consultant or in smaller biotech) require the MW to wear many hats and to fill in the blanks for lots of different document development roles.

There are dynamic options that suit how you work and what you work on. These tools can improve your work and let you better balance your time.
Maybe you use these types of tools already, maybe you use some, maybe you don’t use any yet. No matter, I’d recommend that you make technology your partner in developing documents as a medical writer. Work smarter, do more, and (hopefully) stress less.
