QC Review

Acumen prides itself on having a stellar quality control and technical editing group. A key to our success is communication between the writer and editor. Acumen fosters this communication through the following:

  • Planning: provide the editorial team an accurate sense of the timing for when the QC review is coming

  • Alignment: conduct a pre-QC meeting to share information on scope, expected duration, and logistics

  • Annotation: ensure the writer applies notes within the document to help identify sources and guide the QC review

  • Check-in: ensure that the lines of communication between the writer and editor remain open during QC to answer questions as they come up

  • Follow-up and feedback: encourage 2-way communication to learn from the review experience

At Acumen, our writers and editors know the importance of QC and how communication is key to success.
